How do I build a contract?
From the WhichDraft.com homepage, log in to your Whichdraft.com User Account using your Email Address and Password (if you don't have a WhichDraft.com User Account, click here to learn how to get one). Once you are logged in, click the BROWSE link on the navigation bar directly below the WhichDraft.com banner, use our search engine, or browse our official WhichDraft.com categories or our User Posted Contract categories. On the BROWSE or contract results pages, browse our constantly expanding selection of contracts, find the contract that you are looking for by pointing your mouse over the name of the contract to read a description of that contract, and click the contract name to open the contract and get started building your contract.
Once you have clicked on your contract, you must complete two simple steps to build your contract. First, enter your name or your company's name, as applicable, and contact information under Party 1 (You) and the name and contact information of the other party to the contract under Party 2 (Them). Second, scroll down to review a series of simple questions that allow you to customize your contract. The complete text of your contract appears in the word processor window to the right of the questions and, as you answer each question, the text of the contract itself will update based on your answer to each question. To advance to the next question (or to go back to a previous question) use the forward and back arrow buttons that appear above each question. A brief explanation of each question appears below the question. Once you have reviewed all the questions, you have finished building your contract!

WhichDraft.com will send an email to the e-mail address you provided with a link inviting the recipient to access the contract you have shared.
Someone has shared a contract with me. How do I access it?

Words that were in the older version, but were deleted in the later version, appear in red and are struck through.
I want to build my own question and answer template. How do I do it?
Click "MY TEMPLATES" on the navigation bar. There are three major steps to building and using a question and answer template. In Step 1, build your questions and answers, including the text you want to appear in your template when a particular question's answer choice is selected. In Step 2, insert your contract name and provisions, and drag and drop the questions wherever you want their answers to appear. In Step 3, access any template you've created to build a specific contract, just like you would for an official WhichDraft.com contract. Click "MAKE PUBLIC" to share your template with the world under our "User Posted Contracts" pages.
In Step 1, create your questions and answer choices. Later on, you can use these questions to build your template. Or, if you want to add a template, and not use our automatic drafting Q&A wizard, just skip to Step 2. To build a question, fill in the Title, Type Your Question, and Add an Explanation. You can watch your question as it's being built on the right in our Real Time Question Builder.
Next, choose an Answer Type. The simplest is "Textfield." Later, whatever the user types in this field will pop into the template. You can also choose Radio Buttons. Pick how many answer choices you want, fill in the name of each Answer Choice and the Text in Template (this is the actual text that will pop into the template if this answer choice is selected). You can also try out our other answer types, including "Checkboxes" to let a user select multiple answers at once, and "Dropdowns" to let the user select from a variety of possible answer choices that you design.
In Step 2, build your template. Fill in the Title and then pick a Category or create your own. Make it Public and post the contract to our User Posted Contracts pages, and we'll show your User Name (or Email Address so potential customers or business contacts can contact you). Or keep it just to yourself. Type the name of your template. Don't change the preamble text, it's designed to automatically pull the parties' contact information into your template. You can draft captions and clauses below the preamble. Or paste in any provisions you want by clicking "PASTE" (don't paste in any other way or your contract could become unstable). Next, add questions. Just drag and drop any question from the upper left hand panel to wherever you want that question's answer choice text to appear on the right. Click on any question in Questions Used, in the lower left hand panel, to remove that question from your template. The removed question will now reappear in the upper left hand panel if you change your mind and want to use it again. When you're finished, click "SAVE".
In Step 3, you're now all set to create a contract. Just click on the name of any template you've saved. Customize the contract by filling in the parties' names in Step 1. Then, in Step 2, review each question by clicking the arrows on the left. Click or fill in whatever you want, and, on the right, the contract will automatically draft itself. Save it and use all the other features we provide.
